Best File Sharing Websites – Top 5

If you want to send a file using Gmail, you cannot attach more than 25 megabytes (MB). If you are a Yahoo user, you cannot send a message of over 10MB in size. And similarly various other e-mail providers also impose certain file size limits to prevent service misuse like piracy, server load, etc. If you want to send one or more large-sized files, you can make use of file sharing sites. File sharing websites allow you to send large-sized files with ease. You simply have to upload your file or files and the file sharing site will give you a link to the uploaded file or files. You can then share the link / links with the person you want to send the file or files and he can download it instantly from that site. It’s simple as that! So which are the best file sharing sites? Web has several file sharing websites and here are the top 5 best file sharing sites.

Best File Sharing Sites

#1 MediaFireMediafire Logo - Best File Sharing Site

With MediaFire you can upload unlimited files. All you need to do is to create an account at MediaFire and you are ready to begin. The files can be at most 200MB in size. You can even upload files as much as 10GB in size, but you will need to pay for it. There is no limit on the number of times your file can be downloaded which makes it one of the best file sharing websites.

This means that you can share the same link with multiple people without worrying about the download limit. MediaFire also allows you to host unlimited files without a total size limit. You can share your uploaded files with your Twitter, Facebook or e-mail friends easily.

#2 RapidShareRapidShare Logo

RapidShare is another file sharing service which doesn’t impose any limit on the size of files you can upload. You can upload unlimited files of any size. Your file can be as small as 1MB (or less) or it can be of 1GB (or more). In short there is no limit imposed on the size of your files. You can upload any type of file. RapidShare supports all file extensions (ex: zip, exe, pdf, doc, etc.).

The only drawback is that your file is deleted automatically after 30 days if you don’t have a premium / pro RapidShare account. RapidShare also offers a download / upload manager for using RapidShare easily.

#3 HotFileHotfile Logo

HotFile is a popular file sharing site. HotFile allows you to upload a maximum of 400MB per file and you can upload unlimited files. There is no limit on the data you can store at HotFile. Your file will not be deleted from HotFile servers if’s been downloaded actively. If a file hasn’t been downloaded from over 90 days, it will be deleted.

HotFile supports almost all the download managers which can be used to speed up your downloads. I rate HotFile as the best file sharing website. It’s very easy to use, fast and offers more features than other file sharing sites.

#4 FileFactoryFileFactory Logo

At FileFactory you can upload 50 files. Each file can be of maximum 2000MB in size which is approximately equal to 2GB. There are no limits on the number of files that can be downloaded. Your files can be downloaded by unlimited number of users. Your file will not be deleted unless it hasn’t been downloaded from over 90 days. FileFactory supports all file extensions. You can get a free FileFactory account and organize your files in folders and sub-folders. FileFactory can be used from any computer, any operating system!

FileFactory also offers a unique money making program where you can earn as much as $15 per 1000 downloads. This is an advantage of FileFactory.

#5 FileDropperFileDropper Logo

You can use FileDropper to upload files to quickly share your files. FileDropper is the easiest to use file sharing site I have come across. FileDropper allows you to share files of maximum 5GB in size. You can use FileDropper to store your backups, music, videos, etc. Your files are deleted only if they haven’t been downloaded from 30 days.

FileDropper is far the easiest to use file sharing site I have come across. It offers a very simple interface and its not complicated like many other file sharing sites.

So the conclusion is that the best file sharing site is HotFile and the easiest to use file sharing site is FileDropper. The other file sharing sites mentioned in this post are no doubt good. You can try all the above file sharing sites to upload some files of yours and find the best file sharing site. According to me it’s HotFile!

Do you use any of the above file sharing sites? Which file sharing site do you use or have used in the past? Which is your favorite file sharing service?

    Hi Saksham,

Timely post! I need to send on these days huge videos and I didn’t have time to search sites that allow big “shares”.

Being some free and more than 25 MB is a big bonus.

I’ll bookmark it for my future reference.

    Cheers,

    Gera
